(IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO READ, UPON SUBMITTING THIS REGISTRATION TO OBTAIN ACCESS TO THIS SYSTEM, YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY AND UNCONDITIONALLY AGREEING TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET IN THE USER AGREEMENT.)
WELCOME TO COLUMBUS SCRAPPERS!
This bulletin board ("BB") is intended to promote the sharing of ideas and to support scrapbooking women of central Ohio. We invite you to join in the conversation and participate.
Since this is a local group, we encourage you to register under your first name. The Columbus Scrappers site is a closed group on a secure site with a mandatory and closely monitored registration process. Usernames may be changed to comply with this policy as deemed necessary by the Webmaster.
New members will have limited access to features and functions of the board and registration to certain group events. Once a member has accrued 25 posts, they will automatically be upgraded to full member status. Members are required to post once every 30 days. Inactive members will automatically be purged from the system, however they are welcome to rejoin at any time.
Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. Columbus Scrappers ("we") do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this BB. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually-oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise a violation of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB. It is expected that information shared from another source will be properly acknowledged and credited. All original material submitted and published on Columbus becomes the sole property of and copyright of Columbus Scrappers. Upon written request Columbus Scrappers may authorize the original author, and the original author only, the right to publish any material elsewhere.
Although this bulletin board does not and cannot review all of the messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, the moderators of Columbus Scrappers reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Columbus Scrappers, Invision (developers of Invision Power Board), and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).
The email and personal message systems are privileges for the members of this community. If they are abused, privileges will be removed. Root administration has the ability and right to monitor these communications to assure their proper use.
Columbus Scrappers agrees to take reasonable and customary precautions to protect any information posted by its members. However, the administrative staff of Columbus Scrappers advises against the public posting of privileged or personal information such as full names, addresses, telephone numbers, financial related information of any kind (bank accounts or credit card information), etc. Any personal information is posted at the poster's own risk. The administrators of this site cannot be held accountable if information is mishandled by other parties.
Multiple account registrations and/or accounts with falsified registration information are subject to immediate and permanent removal of all associated accounts from the user database. Any actions, e-mails, or posts containing or pertaining to malicious intent of any kind against the BB system or any of its members, including stalking, solicitation to leave our organization or join another on or through the BB system, and any other computer based attacks, are also subject to the immediate and permanent removal of all associated accounts. Columbus Scrappers reserves the right to contact and turn over any information pertaining to any such activities to the appropriate authorities and/or ISP's as deemed necessary by the BB administrative staff.
You agree not to e-mail or post, neither public nor private in nature, to this site or any of its members, any messages containing unsolicited commercial (UCE) content of any kind, including but not limited to advertisements or any messages determined to be spam by the BB moderation staff. The posting of chain mail messages and flaming is also strictly prohibited. Flaming is defined as any text which includes any insulting criticism, remark meant to incite anger, or any other show of disrespect. Harassment of the staff or managers will not be tolerated. Any such comments or messages as described above are subject to moderation (including removal of the message) by the moderation staff of this system. Any user found in violation of this policy is subject to warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal of the account from the system if deemed appropriate by the BB administrative staff.
Columbus Scrappers is recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. In accordance with this designation, endorsement of any political entity is strictly prohibited.
Although a charitable organization is not prohibited from discussing religion or politics, it is a consistent source of conflict on the BB. In order to keep Columbus Scrappers a positive place to visit, discussions of a religious or political nature will be permitted as long as they remain civil and respectful discussions. Unfortunately, we live in a hyper-sensitive society. Please be considerate and respectful to your fellow Columbus Scrappers members and think before you post. If reported by members or determined by moderators that a topic has left the realm of polite society, topics or replies to topics are subject to editing or outright removal by the moderating staff.
Columbus Scrappers is a dynamic community, and it will be necessary from time to time to update our policies. Updates to the policies will be announced, and it is your responsibility to review those changes. Your continued membership indicates that you agree with the posted changes.
COLUMBUS SCRAPPERS ADVERTISING POLICY
Contained herein is the advertising policy set forth by the administrative staff of Columbus Scrappers ("CS"). Deviation from this policy is strongly discouraged. Users choosing to disregard the advertising policies set forth by CS are subject to warnings, temporary suspensions, or immediate and permanent removal from the system as determined appropriate by the CS administrators.
Advertising is acceptable only in the "Now You're in Business" forum. Advertising is limited to members own businesses, and invitations to events which they are hosting.
CONCERNING LOCAL STORES
While we respect your right to your opinion, for complaints about local scrapbooking stores we encourage you to contact the store owner/manager directly with your concerns.
By submitting your registration to this site, you agree to be bound by all of the conditions stated above and recognize that any abuse, misuse, or neglect of any of the above policies may lead to your suspension or immediate removal from the group. This user agreement is subject to change without prior notification, but will be available for viewing by BB members.
